While this can be frustrating, don’t worry, it happens to the best of us! There are a few reasons why your template might be getting stuck in your mold.
Undercuts
These are small indents in the design of your template that can sometimes stop it from being easily removed from the mold. They’re a little like small hooks that try and hold on to the edge of the mold as you’re trying to take it out.
When designing your template, make sure you don’t include any undercuts that could stop your template from being removed. You can find out more about designing without undercuts in your Mayku Starter Book.
Draft angles
To make sure your template can slip of out of the mold smoothly, add draft angles to the sides of your template. Templates with straight edges of 90 degrees will be difficult to remove. Adding a draft angle of at least 3 degrees will make it much easier to remove.
